More than 100,000 square feet of shops and restaurants
is planned for University Village Marketplace, centrally
located within the University Village mixed-use development
along Halsted and Maxwell Streets.
The development features student apartments above street-level
retail and restaurants, and includes the rehabilitation
of existing structures to create more shops in a vibrant
retail environment. The retail site will be within walking
distance of new residence halls for students, faculty,
staff and the general market, as well as an adjacent parking
structure.
